Massachusetts Writing Project (MWP) is a unique network of National Writing Project sites based at University of Massachusetts System campuses in Amherst, Boston, and Dartmouth, serving teachers across disciplines and at all levels, early childhood through university. We provide professional development, generate resources and research, as wellas nurture a community of leading teacher-consultants (TCs) in effort to improve the teaching of writing and learning for all learners in the Commonwealth.

MWP Team Joins NWP/Gates Foundation Common Core Effort
Posted on August 9, 2010 | No CommentsNational Writing Project representatives from five key states that have adopted the Common Core State Standards met in New York to pilot an action research effort, in conjunction with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, examining the effectiveness of a new curriculum framework called the Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC).
